Yonex Poly Tour Air is a soft co-polyester string with a monofilament core which is finished with a high polymer polyester combined with HR Elastomer. This offers a controlled and comfortable feel with great shock absorption, together with a snapback for better ball spin.

As the softest string in the Yonex poly range, Poly Tour Air produces high levels of ball pocketing to produce more power than other strings offered by the brand. HR elastomer technology implemented in Poly Tour Air retains the strong repulsion power and durability of traditional poly strings while reducing stress on players with a light, soft feeling upon impact.

Poly Tour Air shares some of the characteristics recognised in multifilament options such as Rexis Speed, with maximum comfort, and decent power. However, the softer nature of Poly Tour Air means access to topspin is lesser than alternatives like Poly Tour Rev, or Poly Tour Pro.

Comfort is an area were Poly Tour Air excells thanks to its HR elastomer technology. This is a much softer string than most polyesters, and therefore a good alternative for players seeking comfort, and slightly more spin potential than in most multifilaments. 

Control 6.5/10

With less access to topspin than other Yonex options, Poly Tour Air does lose some marks in the control stakes. This string is more suited to touch and feel shots, in comparison to heavy topspin. 

Durability 7/10

Poly Tour Air maintains decent playability for at least 8 hours of play, and is therefore comparable to most poly strings on the market.
